We’re hiring! Trauma-Informed and Restorative Practices Program Manager

Best Starts for Kids is hiring a Program Manager to lead the program development and implementation for the investments in Trauma-Informed Schools & Organizations and Restorative Justice Practices. Best Starts’ Trauma-Informed and Restorative Practices strategy areas supports schools and school partners in creating safe, welcoming environments and strong, trusting relationships with adults to build student’s capacity to overcome experiences of trauma or adversity. The Program Manager will provide leadership and program management for this strategy area,  implement capacity-building strategies to share knowledge and skills among partners, and build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders in this strategy.

The successful candidate will have deep knowledge of equity and social justice principles and practices, knowledge of trauma-informed and restorative practices in youth-serving and education sectors in King County and Washington State, and experience convening diverse partners to  implement services and meet outcomes.

This position will function within Public Health – Seattle & King County and support Best Starts’ Strategic Advisor for Trauma-Informed Systems  in systems-building efforts within King County related to trauma-informed schools and youth-serving organizations, restorative practices and discipline reform, social emotional learning, and other emerging and aligned areas.
