What to expect

We will have a full day of networking, peer-to-peer learning, and action. Highlights of the day include:

  • The Youth Bill of Rights: Dive deep into the mission of Articles I-X of the King County Youth Bill of Rights—a framework created by local youth to inform the policies that affect your life.
  • Peer Learning: Engage in sessions led by your peers, focusing on the issues that matter most to our generation.
  • Regional Connections: Meet other young leaders from across the county to share ideas and build a stronger, more connected community.

We will be providing a complimentary lunch for all attendees. Because it is a packed schedule, we recommend eating a hearty breakfast before you arrive and bring snacks to keep you going between sessions. Learn more on the Summit landing page.

How can community-based organizations support?

We have a total capacity of 250 attendees (200 young leaders and 50 adult volunteers). To ensure we have representation from all regions of King County, we are asking youth-serving organizations to encourage up to five participants to register initially. If space remains as we get closer to May 30, we will open additional spots!

Youth-serving organizations are also welcome to submit a breakout session proposal.

If you would like to volunteer at the summit, please email Kerry Wade (kwade@kingcounty.gov) or Jessica Werner (jessica@moonsnailconsulting.com).
