About this opportunity:

Housing security is key to ensuring kids have their best start at life. Research shows that housing is the first rung on the ladder to economic opportunity and that a person’s access to opportunity is intrinsically linked with that of the community where they live. The purpose of this RFP is to award up to two qualified applicants to implement YFHPI 2.0 by providing direct, culturally competent homelessness Prevention services comprised of Intensive Case Management services coupled with Flexible Funds in alignment with YFHPI 2.0 goals and objectives. The awardee(s) shall dedicate one Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) case manager solely devoted to the work of preventing homelessness, ensuring housing stability for households at Imminent Risk, and implementing the YFHPI model of Prevention and housing stability. Agencies who can clearly demonstrate the ability to serve AI/AN and/or LGBTQ communities will have an advantage in the RFP process

The goal in this expansion RFP is to solicit organizations that work directly and intentionally with members of the Alaska Indian/American Native communities, and/or households with member(s) identifying as Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay, Transgender, Queer and/or Questioning (LGBTQ) to support their housing stability by preventing an imminent risk of homelessness in a culturally responsive manner. This expansion RFP is addressing gaps in services for these two populations that were not satisfied in the first release in February 2022.

Eligibility:

This request is open to nonprofit organizations, CBO, tribes, and tribal organizations, and public or governmental agencies serving communities in King County. Small nonprofits and CBOs are encouraged to submit proposals.

Funding available:

We have budgeted approximately $2,000,000 for this RFP. We expect to fund two agencies and the exact budget for organizations will be determined and negotiated with the awarded applicants at the time of contract negotiations.
