Funding opportunity: WestEd accepting applications for Early Support for Infants and Toddlers Facilitators and Consultants RFQ – apply by May 22!

We are excited to share that through a partnership between Best Starts and WestEd the Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) Facilitators and Consultants request for qualifications (RFQ) is now open! Initial applications are due on May 22, 2023 at 5pm to be considered as part of the initial submissions. Applications will continue to be accepted throughout the year and considered as additional opportunities arise.

About this opportunity:  

Do you have a passion for sharing knowledge regarding developmental delays or disabilities impacting infants and toddlers while holding racial equity, disability justice, and family centered practices as the foundation for learning opportunities? 

Best Starts is working with WestEd to build up equitable systems of care, so babies, children, and families thrive in their communities. We are deepening supports for providers by providing learning opportunities in ways that can transform systems and practices for our youngest children, such as: 

  • An introductory ESIT Course 
  • Communities of Practice  
  • Workshops tailored to ESIT Service Providers 
  • Agency-specific technical assistance for new or continuing ESIT programs

Eligibility: 

Professionals, trainers, consultants, community educators, technical assistance providers, and ESIT providers who have a passion for sharing knowledge regarding developmental delays or disabilities impacting infants and toddlers, holding racial equity, disability justice, and family centered practices as the foundation for learning opportunities, facilitating multidisciplinary spaces, and engaging in deep learning with others in the birth to three field to provide virtual and in person learning opportunities to strengthen ESIT providers and community partners in King County are encouraged to apply.
