The Innovation Supports strategy leverages the creativity and expertise of community to support innovative community-driven approaches and programs that meet the strengths and challenges of communities across King County.

The Innovation Supports team is a group of community experts who will support Best Starts community-based partners as they design, develop, and lead effective and innovative programs and interventions that serve children, from birth to age five, and their families. Working in close partnership with the University of Washington and Best Starts staff, this team will adopt the IDEAS Impact Framework™ as a foundation and support partners from the initial design and idea development to full implementation through trainings, workshops, communities of practice, and peer supports. These services typically take place during the first three years of a program or intervention and leverage the expertise and creativity of community.

Innovation Supports are led by a team of individuals working in close partnership with Best Starts staff supporting prenatal to five strategies. Best Starts anticipates serving between 10-15 organizations every two to three years.
