Moving forward on our plan for Best Starts for Kids

Published November 24, 2021

To our community,

We are proud to share that yesterday the King County Council voted unanimously to pass the Best Starts for Kids budget. This marks an important last step in the legislative process for Best Starts for Kids and finalizes our Implementation Plan. With strong Council and community support for this plan, we can move forward to the next phase of implementing Best Starts for Kids.

We intend to start posting funding opportunities beginning in January of 2022 and plan to stagger them throughout the year. We’ll share funding opportunities on our blog and through our community newsletter and encourage everyone to subscribe to both to receive a notification whenever we post a new funding opportunity. You can subscribe to this blog using the subscribe by email box on the top of the home page, and subscribe to our newsletter using the form on the bottom of our website, kingcounty.gov/beststarts.

We are so grateful to our community for the insight, wisdom, and support that will continue to guide us as we move forward with our shared vision for King County’s children, youth, and families.

Big L Love,

Sheila and Marcy
