Our Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Strategy and Child Care Health Consultation Strategy invites all King County child care providers and child care health consultants to our new 9-month program: The World Around Me: Grounding Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health and Social Justice in Child Care Settings.

The deadline to register is September 13, 2024.

Program Overview

The World Around Me: Grounding Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health and Social Justice in Child Care Settings is a 9-month community of practice with two main components:

  1. Deepening infant and early childhood mental health knowledge in five different areas:
  • Infant and early childhood mental health
  • Global child development
  • Working with children with different abilities
  • Nutrition and health
  • Community care and sustainability
  1. Reflective Practice in small groups to explore implementation of learnings.

Grounded in social justice and equity, this community of practice will encourage child care health consultants and child care providers working in King County to engage in connection, reflection, and community to support infant and early childhood mental health for children birth-to-five.

No formal degrees are necessary. We welcome all individuals supporting children in child care in King County from all cultures and linguistic backgrounds.
