Save the Date! Best Starts Capital Program In-Person Open House on October 26

Editor’s note: This post has been updated to reflect that the Open-House begins at 5:30 pm.

In the second levy, Best Starts expanded into new investment areas like Capital Projects to improve and create community spaces to equitably expand access to high-quality programs and services for children, young people, and families.

Our Capital Program will fund renovation, repair, and new construction of buildings and facilities for youth and families.

We invite you to our Capital Program Open House!

Join us for a presentation on the Best Starts Capital Program to learn more about upcoming funding opportunities. We will discuss our Priority 1 funding round, which will be released in December 2023. Priority 1 funding will cover new construction and renovation of property for new community or recreational centers, which prioritize serving low-income Black, Indigenous, People of Color children, young people, and families lacking access to similar facilities. Best Starts will provide capital planning grants of up to $100,000 for Priority 1 projects.

At this Open House, you can meet our Best Starts Capital Program manager, learn about this new investment area, understand Priority 1 funding, learn about the application process, and have an opportunity to ask questions.
