We’re hiring! Best Starts Policy Manager

Public Health – Seattle & King County is hiring a Policy Manager (Health Services Administrator I) responsible for planning, implementing, directing and evaluating the maternal and child health policies and programs for Public Health. This leader will provide strategic direction for Best Starts for Kids implementation and policy leadership for all facets of Public Health’s maternal and child health policy and system change efforts.

This position will work collaboratively to oversee Best Starts implementation activities with an emphasis on developing and maintaining strong partnerships between the departments to create collaboration and alignment for Best Starts for Kids.

Concurrently, this position will lead Public Health policy and system change efforts in the maternal and child health arena through participation in national and state policy forums; monitoring of emerging opportunities for collaboration; and relationships with internal and external partners.

The Policy Manager will report to the Policy Director in Public Health-Seattle & King County (PHSKC) and work closely with the Director of Children, Youth and Young Adults Unit at the Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS).
