Best Starts for Kids is hiring two positions to join our Prenatal to 5 team. Both positions sit within the Developmental Disabilities Division in the Department of Community and Human Services and will be part of the Best Starts for Kids implementation effort working in alignment with staff from DCHS and Public Health – Seattle & King County.

Prenatal to Five Developmental Promotion Lead (PPM III)

The Prenatal to Five Developmental Promotion Lead is part of a multi-disciplinary work team with a mission of nurturing the development and well-being of all children prenatal to five and their families through culturally relevant, equitable, and meaningful supports and services, countywide. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a comprehensive system of universal developmental screening, services and supports for children birth to five years old and their families. The position will be responsible for improving coordination of existing programs and participating in system building to develop and implement strategies that increase access to developmental screenings for birth to five year old children and link children and families with services and supports when needed.

Prenatal to Five-Early Support for Infants and Toddlers Lead (PPM III)

The Early Support for Infants and Toddlers Lead is part of a Prenatal to Five work team with a mission of nurturing the development and wellbeing of all children prenatal to five and their families through culturally relevant, equitable, and meaningful supports and services, countywide. The position is responsible for planning and implementing the King County Early Support for Infants and Toddlers program, for birth to three year old children with delays or disabilities and their families in compliance with Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act.
