Centering Black Excellence in Early Support for Infants and Toddlers: Register for a Community Conversation!

Best Starts Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) strategy is hosting community conversations on Centering Black Excellence within ESIT. Conversations will be facilitated by Adana Protonentis and are designed to uplift and center the voices of Black and African American families who have young children with developmental delays or disabilities, regardless of whether they have received ESIT services.   


Share this information with families 

We’re inviting Black and African American families to share their story in a community conversation if they:  

  • Have children with delays or disabilities; 
  • Used Early Support Services in the past 5 years; or 
  • Didn’t know about or access services when children were 0 to 3.  

Participants will receive a $75 stipend.  

Register for a community conversation on:  

  • Monday, September 29, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Atlantic Street Center, Kent 
  • Wednesday, October 8, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Virtual on Zoom 
  • Saturday, October 11, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, Rainier Beach Library
