Announcing 12 Stopping the School-to-Prison Pipeline awardees

Published June 2, 2025

At Best Starts, we work to build equitable systems and create pathways of success for young people 12 to 24 years old. Our Stopping the School-to-Prison Pipeline (SSPP) strategy partners with community-based organizations to support young people who are more likely to be pushed into the criminal legal system due to systemic and institutional racism.

Through the SSPP request for proposals, we are excited to invest in programs that promote workforce and career development and positive identity development through relationship-building activities, access to resources, and reconnection to cultural heritage.

We’re excited to announce the 12 awardees for our SSPP RFP!
