About this opportunity:

Across the nation and in King County, the COVID-19 pandemic interrupted access and reduced uptake of routinely recommended childhood vaccinations. This RFA aims to connect children, family members, and caregivers in communities with lower vaccination rates with access to low-barrier and no-cost vaccinations through mobile immunization clinics.

The selected applicant(s) should deliver routine pediatric and limited adult vaccinations in King County to uninsured and under-insured community members, low-income communities, Black/African American and Indigenous communities unable to access immunizations and other healthcare services due to structural and institutional barriers, including fear of deportation, language, transportation, and/or technology access. The modes of delivery will include mobile clinics in partnership with schools, childcare providers, and community- and faith-based organizations.

The most competitive applicants will propose hosting a minimum of 25 clinics, reaching a minimum of 1,200 children by the end of each contract year.

  • Experience hosting mobile vaccination clinics (priority given to those with experience delivering routine childhood immunizations).
  • Successful history working with schools, childcare providers, community- and faith-based organizations and other community partners.
  • Successful history serving under-insured and uninsured community members, low-income communities, Black/African American and Indigenous communities, communities of color, immigrant, refugee and asylee communities, and communities with limited access to healthcare.
