Announcing 13 Healthy and Safe Environments Awardees!

Published January 9, 2025

Health and well-being are influenced by the places we live, learn, work, and play. Our Healthy and Safe Environments (HSE) strategy partners with community-based organizations, schools, and groups led by young people to transform communities for young people and their families by using policy, systems, and environmental change strategies.

Through our HSE request for proposals, we are excited to support efforts led by young people to increase access to healthy and affordable food options, increase opportunities for physical activity, reduce exposure to unhealthy substances and dangerous products, and create safe and health promoting environments.

We’re excited to announce the 13 awardees for our HSE RFP!

$2.914 million is being awarded to 11 community-based organizations through a three-year award (2025-2027) and two community-based organizations through a one-time mini-grant.
