About this opportunity:
In order to help grow and sustain the strong system of community-based organizations in King County, Best Starts seeks to partner with technical assistance (TA) providers and capacity building (CB) organizations/individuals/consultants.
Technical assistance providers will support organizations interested in responding to Best Starts funding opportunities with culturally responsive assistance for proposal development.
Capacity builders will offer individualized, culturally responsive coaching, training, workshops, peer learning opportunities, tools, and expertise to support organizations’ capabilities after being matched to organizations by Best Starts staff.

- Strengths-based; and
- Flexible and adaptable as needed by community-based organizations.
Eligibility:
This RFQ is open to not-for-profit organizations, community-based organizations, tribes and tribal organizations, public or governmental agencies serving communities in King County, and private consultants with expertise in the needs of young children, families, communities, and the systems that serve them. Applicants must have experience providing culturally responsive services to a diversity of community-based organizations. Community-based individuals and organizations are encouraged to submit applications.

- Wednesday, August 21, 2024, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Pacific Time
- Tuesday, September 10, 2024, 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., Pacific Time

Funding available:
| 3-year TA contracts | Plan to award 8 TA contracts with a total investment of up to $550,000 |
| 3-year CB contracts | Plan to award 12 CB contracts with a total investment of up to $4,450,000 |
An exact budget will be determined and negotiated with the winning Applicants at the time of contract negotiations. As the services will be requested by community-based organizations on an as-needed basis, no compensation is guaranteed, and final amount of compensation is dependent on the total number of approved and completed hours properly invoiced.
Selected applicants will be reimbursed at a rate of $175 per hour of technical assistance and capacity building services provided and $87.50 per hour for administration and travel.
