Announcing Kaleidoscope Play & Learn Awards

We are very excited to announce 24 awardees to expand or establish new Kaleidoscope Play and Learn groups across King County. With a total investment of $1.7 million over three years, these awards to community-based organizations will support play groups that promote positive and healthy outcomes for young children and support parents and family, friend, and neighbor (FFN) caregivers.

Now Accepting Applications for Parent/Caregiver Education and Support RFP-Due June 14

The request for proposals to fund Parent/Caregiver Education and Support services is now open. This RFP for Parent/Caregiver Education and Support, is one of five Community-Based Parenting and Peer Supports RFPs that Best Starts is releasing to partner with community-based organizations to promote positive and healthy outcomes for young children and to support parents and family, friend, and neighbor (FFN) caregivers. Applications are due June 14.

Announcing our Basic Needs Awardees

Best Starts for Kids is excited to announce our three community partners who received Basic Needs Resource Brokering Funding. Congratulations to the Tilth Alliance, WestSide Baby and Eastside Baby Corner. In total, Best Starts awarded $961,000 to help meet basic needs in King County.
