Open RFP for Adolescent Immunization Improvement Partnership-Due 2.6.19

The Request for Proposals to support an Adolescent Immunization Improvement Partnership is now available. Applications are due by February 6.

In the process of developing this program over the last year, Best Starts gained a deeper understanding of the resources required to effectively support regional child and adolescent health improvement efforts. Moving forward, the Best Starts for Kids program will reflect the National Improvement Partnership Network’s Improvement Partnership model. This will expand the scope of the program to better provide a sustainable strategy to ensure that all adolescents receive appropriate and timely vaccines as well as address other child health priorities. Beginning in 2019, the quality improvement learning collaborative will be a part of the Improvement Partnership.

“This is just what young people in North Bend needed”: Celebrating the Trail Youth Coffee House

The Trail Youth Coffee House is open for business! One of 32 Best Starts for Kids Youth Development awardees, the Trail Youth built the coffee house in partnership with Best Starts for Kids to create a safe place for young people in the North Bend area to spend time, be themselves, and connect with supportive adults in the community. Thanks to a surprise feature on the show “Returning the Favor” and community participation, the space was remodeled in just two weeks! Best Starts staff were excited to join the Trail Youth in their Grand Opening Celebration earlier this week. This post is full of feel–good inspiration!
