Update: Deadline extended to submit your Best Starts Summit proposal!

Extended deadline to accept Best Starts Proposals! 

We’re happy to announce that you now have until Aug. 25 to submit a proposal to present at the Best Starts for Kids Summit: Growing Roots, Reaching New Heights! 

Any organization, group, or person that does work to support babies, kids, and young people are eligible to present at the Summit. Summit proposals can be a simple description of the presentation you will prepare. The Best Starts for Kids Summit: Growing Roots. Reaching New Heights. is a peer-to-peer learning and networking conference that will be held from Tuesday, October 24 to Friday, October 27, 2023. Best Starts for Kids is accepting breakout session proposals for the summit.  

Organizations and individuals who work with babies, kids, and young people are invited to submit breakout session proposals for the 2023 Best Starts virtual summit. The submission deadline is now Friday, August 25, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. Final decisions on who has been selected will be sent out by Friday, September 15, 2023.  If you have any questions, please contact Emily Johnson (emijohnson@kingcounty.gov). Click HERE to learn more and/or propose as session. 

The Best Starts for Kids Virtual Summit is back—Growing Roots. Reaching New Heights!

Join Best Starts Champions and partners for a week of connection, peer learning, updates, and fun as we envision new possibilities for babies, children, young people, and families in our region.  

Building on our last summit, this year’s summit will highlight sessions designed by and for young people. The 2023 Best Starts for Kids Virtual Summit will take place Tuesday October 24 – Fri. October 27 via Whova.com, with a special preview day on Monday October 23. This year’s finale will broadcast live and in person, from The Museum of Flight on Friday, October 27. Registration for the summit is scheduled to open in September.
