As we announced in summer 2022, Best Starts is welcoming new leadership to join our team. Today we are posting our two open Co-Lead positions.
Our former Best Starts Co-Lead, Sheila Ater Capestany departed to focus fully on her role as Director of the Child Youth and Young Adult Division, and Best Starts Co-Lead Marcy Miller, will be focusing on her role as Maternal and Child Health Policy Manager in Public Health upon the hiring of the new Co-Leads. Jamalia Jones, Best Starts’ interim Co-Lead, was hired into her role as Sheila left, to bridge the transition.
Shared power is a core value of our work at Best Starts, and that doesn’t just mean sharing power at a given moment, but also planning ahead, and building in processes around transition that welcome new leadership – while not losing momentum or consistency in supports.
