Communications Specialist

In support of the Best Starts for Kids initiative, a Communications Specialist III position is being recruited for Public Health – Seattle & King County Communications Team for a Term-Limited Temporary / Special Duty position, to work alongside a similar position in the Department of Community and Human Services. The role will carry out a wide range of external and internal communications functions for Best Starts. Applications close 7/27.

Public Health Evaluator

Public Health – Seattle and King County is seeking to hire two (2) Term-Limited Temporary Social Research Scientists to perform professional, independent, creative, equity-driven, and highly skilled process and impact evaluation work. The Social Research Scientist will use participatory approaches to evaluate a dynamic portfolio of public health initiatives to improve health equity in King County. One of these two roles will directly support Best Starts for Kids.

The work includes leading evaluations using qualitative and quantitative methods in practice and community settings. For example, this means working with racially/ethnically diverse communities, among other communities. Collaborations occur across epidemiologists, program managers, community and academic partners, other King County agencies, and elected officials. Applications are accepted until the role is filled.
