Home-Based Services Locations Map

In early 2019, Best Starts for Kids distributed a survey to prenatal-to-five home-based providers throughout the county to gather information about their experiences with home-based services and priorities for improving them. A clear finding from the survey was that there was a lack of awareness about the breadth of home-based services available in King County, especially for language-specific and culturally responsive programs.

To respond quickly to this gap, Best Starts for Kids has created a Home-Based Services Locations Map.  The map includes the home visiting model or program name and is fully searchable by program type—those providing birthing supports, those providing parenting and early learning supports, and those providing infant and early childhood mental health treatment—as well as by the languages that the home-based service is available in. We hope that this tool is useful for providers and families in identifying resources that are available and in supporting referrals. We wanted to make this information available as soon as possible—but please know that we are also hard at work on developing a more detailed resource that includes brief program descriptions, service areas for each program, cultural communities served, and program contact information.
