Best Starts for Kids is hiring a Youth Development Manager (Program Manager III). This position will provide project management to Best Starts for Kids implementation and lead the program development and implementation for the youth development strategies. Activities include executing grants and RFP cycles for youth development while building partnerships with grantees; building external and internal partnerships to align and leverage opportunities for alignment with other strategies and initiatives; drafting written reports, policy analysis documents, and/or other materials for broad distribution; and preparing and giving internal and external presentations.
The successful candidate will have deep knowledge of equity and social justice principles and practices, knowledge of the youth and young adult years and the youth development sector in King County and Washington State, and experience working with community to build partnerships and gain understanding of unique community needs.
This position will be part of the Children, Youth and Young Adult Division within the Department of Community and Human Services, and will work closely with the Best Starts 5-24 team. This position reports to the Best Starts for Kids 5-24 Policy & Program Manager and will work closely with the Best Starts Implementation Manager.
