Join the Communities of Opportunity Governance Group!

**Notice 10/01/18: Thank you to everyone who applied for the Governance Group / Advisory Board position. Applications for these positions are open until filled.

The Communities of Opportunity initiative is governed by a collaborative partnership of community leaders, government entities and philanthropic organizations that act as the Advisory Board for COO Best Starts for Kids levy proceeds. There is currently one position open for a qualified representative from a COO Geographic or Cultural Community partnership to join, as well as one potential opening for a general membership or Community Member position.

As a geographic or cultural community partnership representative, interested applicants must:

  • Be a designee of a place-based or cultural community partnership that has been awarded COO funding; and
  • Represent Seatac/Tukwila, Rainier Valley, White Center, Kent Community Development Collaborative, the Seattle Central Area (Replanting Roots, Rebuilding Community), Snoqualmie Valley Supportive Community for All partnership, Vashon Latinx community, Transgender Economic Empowerment Coalition, or the Seattle Urban Native Nonprofits (SUNN) partnership
